Immigration: Levitt believes that illegal immigrants are violating the United States and that action has to be taken as soon as possible. Majority of illegal immigrants are the parents of children who are U.S. citizens. The issue of what happens to the parents, who are illegal immigrants, comes up to par. Are the parents deported, leaving the children parentless?
Crime: Crime rates have been a huge issue for the state of California. The degree of punishment must be raised higher in order to effectively refrain from crime. Children must avoid taking such actions in crime related circumstances.
Education: California is facing issues with its education. Budget cuts have affected not only teachers, but the children and parents. All public schools should be taught in English because it is not fair for taxpayers to specifically focus on a particular child’s needs when California’s resources are not in a sufficient amount.
Taxes: Taxes have over the years eaten California alive. California will soon suffer the drawbacks of having an income tax. The solution is to have the state have a greater GDP. Social programs have to be reduced into smaller proportions despite lost in funding but still be able to manage easily.
